Xavier, you're alive! Today, go to the bookstore and buy that book I talked about weeks ago: "BEYOND GLASSES! The Consumer's Guide to Laser Vision Correction" by Franette Armstrong (U.C. Books). $20, and you can read it in a few days. The LASIK section is very revealing. Good discussion among PRK/LASIK experts on the risks/benefits of LASIK vs PRK. Very educational, with pictures and stuff. Did you know only 1% of the visioncare pool can really benefit from LASIK (-10 diopters and worse)? How'd you like a microkeratome blade slicing through your 0.5mm-thick cornea? Not me, buddy. And none of my family and friends either. Read the book. It'll "open your eyes".
