re;beggining of bear;corp.debt,private debt,gov.debt have yet to be payed down.They have gone only higher since 2000.

Debt whether personal, corporate and/or governmental is only one element in the calculation of a bear market's longevity.

Besides, at least some of the current market malaise has as much to do with corporate dishonesty and fear of terrorism as it does with the issue of debt.
