First of all, there is no war going on. That is a lie, a myth and propaganda used to manipulate public opinion to favor bloated, corrupt and irresponsible budgets for the war mongers.
Secondly, if you think having your government keep secrets from you is preferable to having information about government screw-ups, corruption and deception made generally available, then you are a fool.
By analogy, in stock market investing, are you better off if the "leaders" keep secrets from you? Of course not, because these so-called "leaders" have been proven to be craven and corrupt egomaniacs. And they fleeced trillions from the general public. For you to think that you need to be kept in the dark in the stock market, or regarding what your government wants to do to you, not for you, you are impossibly naive.
