i agree with you on a trading bottom (probably mon low).

but one needs to remember that there is no such thing as support in a bear market and i think we are going to be a long time recovering once we hit bottom. these "bottoms" on high volume will (in my opinion) only be shorter term trades. too many people still trying to catch them. i know last week i bought the q's at 26.20 but i know if we revisited that number again it would not hold so i was not even tempted today.

i did cover my mmm short today...too early probably...but a profit is a profit.

i am shorting but not tech stuff...i am shorting the stuff that has big gaps underneath and were the 'safe haven' stocks...or at least they thought they were a safe haven and are toting high pe's.

anyway that is my 2 cents.

a by the way... i remember having an argument last year with some of the bulls about the dollar. their argument was that a weak dollar would help the market...i finally gave up with the argument and we now see the weak dollar doesn't help anything.
