larry, talking about bottoms...lets assume we buy at exactly the bottom and just hold. what happens if we go through a decade (or longer) like we have had several times in the past and it goes no where. (and don't anyone tell me it can't happen) especially if we buy tech that pays no dividend and even the ones paying dividends will not keep up with inflation in a flat market.

another argument i have had in the past is when i compare us the Japan. the argument i have always been given is that their banking system is not transparent and that it is corrupt. my question is this..what is the difference between them and what we are now seeing with crooked brokers(mer for JUST ONE example), crooked corp executives, crooked accounting firms, etc. none in my opinion. the substance is the same just the form is different.
