POWER PITBULL CANDIDATES FOR WEEK OF 7/14/97 ANV BWA KDN CNBKA NMTX. Slim pickins'. I included CNBKA even though it has a Merit Ranking of 65. I'm not sure that I agree with Henry about avoiding ALL stocks with merit rankings above 60. It seems to me that if the RS is in the 70's then the stock still has room to move. It does make sense to avoid them if the RS is also high. I could very well be proven wrong. I didn't buy CNBKA anyway because the breakout was over 5% above the recent high. I did buy ANV and NMTX. I sold MAR (+4.2%) WEN (-1.0%) PX (+5.7%) EQ (-3.4%) all because of RS stops. Portfolio now down to 15 stocks. John
