Check out the charts on SI for INTC and MOT (among others). Huge spikes in volume, 'specially INTC. Even Barron's had a modest endorsement of INTC based on valuation of about 20 times earnings for a dominant franchise.
I'm not saying it's time to buy, I'm saying there's somebody out there (Magellan?) putting some money to work in select large cap, beaten up tech, now that tech is down 75 percent and everyone agrees that all tech stocks will be dead money forever. MOT has been around for 100 years (give or take), has already been through the wringer, has gone through a couple of restructurings.
This is what I've been talking about: real companies, not the IPOs from two years ago or some "visionary's" dream of a world without wire.
