I have been reviewing this space a lot lately. I think that a version of 'wireless ethernet' 802.X will become the corporate lan, hot spot and midsize town/suburban is a winner.

It is not mobile. You have to be relatively stationary to use WiFi. I think it raised the bar for 3G phones. How do they add value which WiFi is everywhere including Palm and PersonalPC devices.

Given that this technology can box Qualcomm into a corner (although GREAT, RELIABE voice would be a benefit) and the finincial straights of the service providers and how alergic capital is to anything telco-ish. I think QCOM is under threat and the risk is much higher than 12 months ago. Off my list for my first toe dip.
