Lorne, I think you are using the terms terrorism and suicide bombing interchangably. The Japanese were suicide bombers also during WWII (Harkiri). The Japanese did that for national honor. The suicide bombers do that when they have lost their will to live probably because their honor has been raped. (Exception Mohammed Atta et al.)

Terrorists live to fight another another day. They do not die while they kill or give orders to kill (eg Osama)
