Well it looks like the percentage bet would be for a Brasil-Germany final, though all prediction is risky.
I'm not that optimistic about Korea's prospects against Germany. For all their energy I've seen little creativity about their attack, and I think they will have a hard time getting inside the German penalty area. The Germans have Kahn, always a factor, and are capable of scoring if given the chance, especially from set pieces. Anything is possible, but I would say Germany 1-0 Korea, to stick my neck out.
Turkey-Brasil may be closer than I would like to see... the Turks will play as if possessed, and will mark very tightly; they do have the capacity to score. Even without Ronaldinho, though, I expecet Brasil to take it.
The Brazilian that will be most missed, of course, is the one who missed the whole tournament after a freak shoulder dislocation during a light training session. That, of course, is Emerson, the captain, a hard-tackling defensive midfielder and a quite physical fellow. He'd have been a big help, but he won't be there.
I'll be interested to hear your opinion on the disallowed Spanish goal.... |
