JF: Actually when it comes to confidence and PE's I think AG did more to undermine that with his irrational tightening. He went nuts loosening just before Y2K and he went nuttier tightening in 2000. As soon as the Fed went to neutral the market stopped going up as investors were afraid AG would put on the brakes and throw us through the windshield again. If the WTC has had that much effect on us then the sand crabs have won.JFD
