where does that leave INTC with its bloated balance sheet and a P(etering out) 4??? A bankrupcy candidate???

My gosh, if ever there was a display of someone totally out of touch with reality, this is it.
This is really it.
Intel's bloated balance sheet has about $10.2 Billion in cash and short term investments and only about $1 Billion in long term debt.
Intel may be bloated with cash, that's for certain.
AMD of course has long term debt of $1.1 Billion and cash only $1.3 billion.
Funny how AMD's long term debt is about the same as Intel's but their cash is only 1/10'th that of Intel's.
And AMD is going to lose about $200 million this quarter.
And AMD has to pony up a few hundred million dollars to the German government soon, another $125 million to Fujitsu, etc.
Can you say "bleed" ?

And a petering out P4?
Didn't Intel just bump their speed from 2.2 GHz to 2.53GHz - along with a 400 MHz to 533 MHz bump in FSB?
Didn't Intel demo a 3 GHz Pentium 4 not too long ago?
Whereas the mighty AMD with their vaunted 0.13 micron copper process just blasted from 1.733 MHz al the way to 1.8 GHz - a whopping 67 MHz improvement on their wildly successful transition from 0.18 to 0.13 micron copper process.
The Athlon has petered out, niceguy767, and you seem to be the only one that hasn't been told.
