My take on the payment deferral was an intended statement to the market that the company was serious about survival (like the MCIT dividend) and was showing the market financial responsibility. Unfortunately it was read wrong. I think that Worldcom needs some more creative thinking to address a market geared to profit more from its destruction than its survival.

For those that believe, current prices are a gift.
