Dave, Adding "may" to my comment is fine. After all, there is a segment of buyers for ink cartridges that will buy through the internet, and those that will go to their retail store. One problem that I see with Dell selling cartridges without selling the printers is related to brand loyalty. Those that buy HP printers will more than likely buy HP ink cartridges. Of course, Dell is a well know name, and they may be able to take cartridge market share away from HP. Who knows, this is such a crazy business. Stock Bull
