NOr can you tell us what AMD's allocated capacity, or actual wpk or exact product mix. So why continue with your silly argument, that AMD has lousy yields when both of us have no idea what the yields actually are.

Wrong again Harry. AMD makes Processors in Dresden. That's all and we can easily run the numbers. They told us they used 3800 WPW to produce their ~4.5 million Athlons. That's about 90 GDPW and that's very bad yield. Additionally their recent Merrill Lynch CC on page 25 shows 52K wafers processed in Q1 on .18u. That's 4000 WSPW. Run the numbers for yourself. An Athlon wafer should yield ~150 GDPW with "World Class Yields". Jerry said "The Best in the World" but just use the 150 GDPW number and you get 7.8 million Athlons. Where are they? 3 million extra die went in the garbage that's where. The same Merrill Lynch presentation showed .13u production "outs" starting at the beginning of the year. Those weren't wafers started but wafers finished. It's been 6 months. Where are they? The tiny trickle doesn't account for 6 months worth of wafer-outs.
