Intel's defective "speedstep" has never worked properly, leaving its duped buyers with 1.2ghz P4 machines that substantially underperform their claimed capability in real world use. Unless the so-called 2ghz part is any different from the other mobile P4s, it runs at 1.2ghz, which means that so called 2ghz P4-M would be hard pressed to keep up with a 900mhz Athlon4 when both are used in notebooks.
