There were policemen who were armed, but the 13 Palestinian fighters do not appear to have been armed. Without a doubt, they did not hold the Christians in the church hostage.

How can you try to draw an analogy to Sharon's visit to the Temple Mount? He was laying a claim to the area. You can't seriously say that these Palestinians who were on the run from the Israeli army were trying to lay a claim to the Chruch of the Nativity.
