Abdus Salam was an Ahmediya and was persecuted in Pakistan for that. After he won the Nobel Prize, he was not allowed to enter any University in Pakistan, nor will you find him mentioned in Pakistani textbooks. He was also banned from Saudi Arabia, for his religion.
