I didn't say that you could or couldn't make 100% on a short trade. My comment is simply because I just love it as an argument about why you shouldn't short. My response to that argument is "It is better to gain less than 100% on a short trade, than to lose 1% on a long trade. And as long as we have people still looking to make 100%, 200%, 300% on every long trade, well, I know that it will be relatively easy to make 15%, 20% or 25% on my short trades.

My comments are not "math" based, but are "sentiment" based.
