I have commented at length in the past on my abdication from the Republican Party in 1998. The GOP used to be big enough to accommodate people like Nelson Rockefeller and Jim Jeffords and John McCain. That's no longer the case. To be a good Republican today, one must be in lockstep with GWB and the Republican platform.

Re: "Not that you ever were a Republican, you lying sleazeball."

What possible motive could I have to lie about such? The Republican Party moved too far to the right, and I said adios. Why is that difficult for you to comprehend?
