Harvey - 1) Java forces you into OOP Yea, I like OOP too, but sometimes even I can get too much of a good thing. 2) Java Virtual Machine kicks the chip designers out ... Yaaaay. 3) Java chip is just the logical conclusion. Why shouldn't the silicon and the software match? Now you sound like me and others that work for Unix vendors that still make/design their own hardware ;). I agree with your points completely, I'm just amazed at how far it's come in such a short time. If Java can fulfill it's promise, I agree times ahead for INTC and MSFT could be rocky. -justinb
