The billion dollar sales figure is calculated from white paper research that I have done on the Internet/Intranet. In fact, my estimates for the potential industry revenue derived from Internet/Intranet related goods and services is quite conservative. In addition, my market share estimates I assigned to Netscape were also conservative.

My emotions are not getting involved with my calculations. I may or may not be invested in Netscape or Microsoft or technology. Microsoft is a powerful, quality firm. However, there will be many ways in the near future to access the Internet/Intranet without the need for a traditional OS. Netscape will be a major player in this trend.

I stick by my numbers and believe Netscape will destroy Street estimates for the 2nd quarter. Don't you realize that all the agreements and contracts Netscape has been announcing every single week equals big time cash flow. Have you even bothered to calculate a conservative, rough estimate of the revenue this will generate.

Netscape runs just fine without Java. Not all sites are programmed in Java. Companies and individuals will use the language they prefer and Netscape will be able to handle that language. Netscape's 128-bit encryption technology is superior. Netscape runs faster and is compatible with more sights. Netscape is available for more platforms. Netscape will be developing client software to run on systems other than PC's. Most companies are developing sights and systems with Netscape in mind, not Microsoft.
