The Celestial Choir was having a special performance for Heavenly Newbies. After singing a couple of standards (Super Flumina Babylonis, Mache Dich), the Choir backed up an eclectic show: Janis Joplin singing "Piece of My Heart", Hendrix doing "Foxy Lady", Jim Morrison giving a spectacular rendition of "Riders on the Storm", among others. Beethoven did a particularly good job with Mozart on a version of the Grateful Dead's "Trucking", with Jerry Garcia on lead guitar and vocals. But the high point was when George Gershwin showed up to play "Rhapsody in Blue" with Paul Whiteman's Band, just like the original.
