InfoSpace Announces Agreement to Deliver Wireline Services to Cablevision's Optimum Online Customers through OptOnline.net

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 2002--InfoSpace, Inc. (Nasdaq:INSP - News), a provider of wireless and Internet software and application services, today announced an agreement to provide wireline services, including Web search and directory, through OptOnline.net, the broadband portal for Optimum Online®, the high-speed Internet solution offered by Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE:CVC - News), one of the nation's leading telecommunications and entertainment companies.

OptOnline.net will offer Web search results delivered by InfoSpace's meta-search technology, which allows users to search multiple engines at once, returning comprehensive and relevant results fast; and directory services, including yellow pages, white pages, maps and directions. All of these services will be private-labeled and delivered with Optimum Online's brand, logo and color scheme.

"This relationship further validates our value proposition to broadband service providers -- we won't interfere with the relationship a provider, such as Optimum Online, is building with its customers," said York Baur, InfoSpace executive vice president, wireline and broadband. "A provider's brand is one of the most important elements in building a long-term relationship with customers. InfoSpace's private-labeled product offerings support and reinforce a provider's commitment to its subscribers, while at the same time controlling costs and helping generate incremental revenue," added Baur.

"We are committed to continuously introducing Optimum Online customers to the best broadband experience, and the OptOnline.net services provided by InfoSpace further validate our efforts," said Valerie Green, vice president of product strategy for Optimum Online. "InfoSpace's product offering is a solid addition to the experience we provide, while at the same time private-labeled, so that our customers will identify the value they receive from OptOnline.net."
