I have two aunts living on fixed incomes who have called to check in over the past couple of weeks ditto my relatives too. One went into conservative stocks now has nothing to worry about. Other relative put head in sand 18 months ago and is worried more then ever about not being able to live a lifestyle she was acustomed too. She is thinking about selling a mix of some investment real estate with gainss and stocks with losses to stave off potential fire sale of equities later. Eventually this will lead to slower economy regardless due to slower consumer spending.
