Hi Jaytee, I say, "There is never a dumb question when it comes to keeping your or making money in investing!" The Excel spreadsheet we keep referring to is a portfolio record of your transactions. This template helps you keep track of the income and debits in the stock(s) you are holding. Everytime you write a CC you subtract that from your net cost basis (NUT). Eveytime you buy a call or PUT you add that cost to your net cost basis. So, you are able to track if you are ahead or in the hole. Also, you can do what if's like being exercised at a price what will be the results in percentages and dollar amount. That alone can help many people make buy/sell decision on real facts. That helps those individuals VISUALIZE the RISK/REWARD of the play. I find it helpful because it does not overload my brain! I usually can take a peek at my sheet or screen at work and get a fast overview of how I'm doing! I have offered it free of charge to those who email me at: hmatos@flinet.com I have an Excel 7.0 version, MS-Works95 version, and Lotus. We had one of our reader update the Excel 7.0 with fancy formulas and colors. He did a nice job. We have some real talented regulars out there on this forum willing to lend a hand. Remember, I'm having a problem with my email at this time. It's a real pain! So, hang in there until I solve the problem. Go ahead and contact me!
