Art, Brazilians love their soccer team. But their economic problems are rooted in corruption, and will not go away if they win the Cup once more(which is likely).Socialist Lula is a lousy campaigner, and inspires little confidence .He is clean! No corruption scandals I know of. He has guaranteed 40% of the votes from the very poor (note that voting in elections is mandatory in Brazil). Lula appears unpolished and being from the Northeast does not help. A bit like voting for an uneducated Jim Carter(JC was smart). The ruling party candidate is more like stiff Gore. Remember that Gore almost pulled it off (after being down by over 20 points)against unpolished southerner Bush. Just my 2 cents on politics. If I had to buy I'd take TelemigCel...Cell phone companies are very busy in Brazil unlike those in the US.
