t2 The QCOM speeds you refer to are actually available now in limited areas from Verizon, called their Express service. Standard phone dial up runs at a max of 56K and usually much less. Verizon Express (bases on CDMA 1X) runs up to a max of 144K, but normally something like 60-80K.

All you do as I understand it is connect your cell phone to your CPU but you have to buy a "card" for the CPU.
Sprint PCS will launch this same 1X technology nation wide this summer. FYI, the next upgrade for Verizon and PCS will take speeds way beyond current DSL speeds.

CDMA 1X and beyond is currently doing extremely well in Korea and Japan (KDDI).

I don't doubt that the stock could go to 18, I don't know. But the future is extremely bright. Regards, Don
