Jeff, one thing about the 3-crows is that the formation CAN be re-traced to the middle of the 2nd candle and still be valid.

It doesn't HAVE to re-trace back to the middle of the 2nd candle in order to remain valid. Your ORCL chart is a good example of that. That's just the maximum allowed for the formation.

ORCL won't see the middle of that 2nd candle, IMO.

Therefore, a partial re-trace can be part of the last candle or all of the last candle, up to half of the 2nd candle and still be valid.
