how ya doing mr bear?
interesting thread introduction.
I won't perscribe to the deep psychosis traits that you have so elegantly described, but will admidt to being of the defensive (bearish) persuasion.
Frankly when private equity will only get up to 5 X EBIDIT, assuming no growth to finance deals these days, it makes me wonder what the f*$k analysts and most on WS have been smoking in suggesting stocks are a good buy (BS still too expensive, particularly the big cap stuff which needs fresh dough to stay aloft.
I think we are entering a period where absolute returns will reign king, followed by deep value/bottomed stocks with very limited downside (however having bought a particular stock last august at p/e of 1.97 paying 15.2% dividend at the time (real stock, that is now going for a p/e of 4.08 and dividned based on current price this year will be 5.8%, reminds me that what looks cheap today can get cheaper.....especially when they don't pay dividends)
anyway think were ready for a rebound or do we need to see blood flow before the worn turns
