Joe on E-Trade, have you ever been charged a 0.01 fee per share over 5,000 shares?
I placed an order for 10,000 shares and the estimated commision came to 114.95 so I canceled it, I called and they said this was correct.
I've never paid per share fee unless it was extended hours trading and that was 0.001 ECN fees per share.
I'm transfering my account at E-trade to my Ameritrade account.
I found this on ET
Market orders for listed securities (those with three or fewer letters in their symbol) $14.95
Nasdaq stock orders (those with four or more letters). If there aren't enough shares available to fill your entire order during the course of one day, you'll pay a commission on each separate day that a partial order is filled. (On the other hand, if your order fills in multiple lots during one day, you'll only pay one commission.) $19.95
Limit orders (5,000 shares or less) $19.95
Listed Securities (over 5,000 shares) Regular commission charge plus $0.01 per share for entire order
