If you look back to this WC schedule, the major opponent Germany faced was Ireland only. It was no where close to S.Korea's three major opponents Portugal Italy and Spain.
If Germany switched the opponents with Korea, could it go that far? You may make a comment on that.

Is the Korean lucky to go that far? Some(but who doesn't?). I think their hard working attitude, great team spirit, great performances plus home court advantage are the major factors carry them to this level. Korean does not belong to the top ranking teams in the world yet. But they have much room to go further from here.
