Good post. My only addition is that not only did Greenspan shameless create those bubbles, publicly he was bitching the whole time about irrational exuberance and then he pricked the bubble. So he helped engineer a sucker's bet for middle Americans. These are troubling times indeed and the best thing to do is to be well diversified with a bias towards wealth preservation (if you have any left). I personally, only play with a small amount of money that I wouldn't feel if I lost it. The rest is with a financial planner. Probably the best advice is give up trading with your real money. If you are going to gamble, then do it with money you don't mind losing. Good luck all!
