I hope I made that clear from my previous posts. Would Germany have done equally well in the S. Korea Group? Let's see they won against two teams from that group. And if Italy, Spain and Portugal had played as they did versus S. Korea German teams sometimes find ways to win, also. As I wrote to a soccer friend from Argentina before the Germany/USA game, last week. Who teased me calling his Group, "The Group of Death" and Germany's "The Group of Luck". -------------------------------- "If Germany looses, it is an upset, if they win on Friday it is expected.....they are under pressure. Cameroon was the African Champion ... and that was not an easy match. Similar to Nigeria with more experience. Ireland beat out Netherlands. Saudi Arabia has a lot of oil. Paraguay doesn't have a lot of oil. United States has a lot of Luck and money (despite a poor stock market) (if they get to the semis) Spain has a very nice team South Koreans are tough and tenacious (they know Karate)... (and eat a lot of garlic).. .....but so do Italians (garlic not Karate), how come Korea won. (Oh yes, referee Moreno who threw Totti out, believing he was a character in a Fellini film.) And to think our friend is in Italy watching this. . The other group of Turkey and Senegal ... have played some nice soccer ... as if they felt no pressure. Brazil shouldn't win a fifth and England should go home and celebrate the Queens 50th jubilee" -------------------------------------------- Just some thought in good fun.
