ALTR is the better pick (I compared ALTR vs. XLNX by looking at performance in the past 5 years). But I think if you want to make alot of money, try XLNX. Buy XLNX on dips and sell it on strength. I am glad my ACTL is holding up even in the tech profit taking... look at all the FPGAs...none are really getting corrected much. You're portfolio is doing really well. BTW, have you looked at SYQT? (maybe a good buy).
