Yeah, but you are avoiding my question: is anyone going to be 'grateful' enough to pay us for assuming our latter day, ne-British roll of 'protecting the World's sea lanes'?

And even if so, would we want to get involved in any more wars like Desert Storm (every dollar reimbursed by the Saudis and Japan)?
