Scott, our defense intelligence is now acting like burokracy they are more invested in turf protection than action they have an unspoken directive of "not causing havoc, chaos" unfortunately, after 30 years of entrenchment, intelligence communities are now very much concerned about pensions, payscales, time off with family, encroachment of competing agencies, lost face, budget continuation
low on the list in my cynical opinion is stopping terrorism to do so would upset the home offices to do so requires being wrong occasionally to do so cannot be done without pissing off some director
we still fix problems with a brand new sprawling burokcracy case in point is Homeland Security it is a bad joke
AFTER ABOUT 3-4 TERRORIST ATTACKS, ONLY THEN WILL THE USA TAKE STERN SERIOUS ACTION LIKE FORMING AN ELITE ANTI-TERROR ACTION GROUP not until far more attacks, more loss of life, more loss of property, more disruption to commerce, more insurance calamities
the USA is more interested in major league baseball than terrorism and more involved in summer fishing than AlQaeda hunting and more eager to bang the oldlady than shooting terror suspects
and more determined to down another beer with that barbequed hamburger THAN EATING THE LIVER OF A DEAD TERRORIST
watch the carnival defense of Moussaui and the Calif Taliban this is where our priorities lie now "protection of rights, protection of freedoms" not protection from terrorists / JW |
