The only way you can prove that story false is to prove that Bush was never in Chicago. And, I doubt you can do that. The next thing would be to round up every reporter that was in Chicago, and then ask them. But, maybe they forgot?
There is just no way to prove this is a lie.
But, the same people who are saying it is a lie, are the same ones who defended Clinton when he said it depends on what is is.
Go ahead and embarrass yourselves all you want. The voters are watching, and they remember. They remember the extreme character assassinations against those who dared ridicule the ex-president when he said it depends on what is is. They also see, that it is these same character assassins, who are now calling Bush a liar, when there is no evidence to support what he may or may not have said to a reporter in private.
So, go ahead. Spread your lies. They will only damn your party to the trashcan of history. I urge you, to spread your lies. Go for it. And don't forget to tell everyone how Bush is so happy that America was attacked. The voters will love you for that. And if you are really feeling desperate, you can trot out Ray to tell the world how it is Bush and the rest of the evil rich republicans and business owners who colluded to attack the WTC. That will get you a bunch of votes.
