"Other teams use failure as an excuse for more failure and it becomes a mental block,"

I agree with you that the above comment applies to everybody regardless of place of birth. This has to do with either a winning attitude or a losing one of the individual(s).

England has had some of the best players and clubs in the history of soccer, yet for some reason they have only won the cup once... Can that create such attitude when it comes to the World Cup... very possible and in this instance, I think the coach becomes the key to the change of the same. I was very surprised to see a Danish coach train the England team... I really do not know how they got away with that, and then again I am not that familiar with England's current situation as far as coaches go... but the point here is that for some reason they thought of going to an outside source, hinting that there is something wrong in that department. Much like the African, Asian and Central American teams have done in the past and in many instances the attitude that the coach instills in the team influences greatly the result.

I mentioned earlier that the Psychology of the Mexican team had suffered a transformation for the better until they played the USA, then something changed and we know the result.

Perhaps the biggest quality of Germany is its tenacity, never give up... and so... in spite of reason a, or b, or c... they are in the final and in the end that is all it counts...

As for your Argentinean friend comments... I 'll have you know that does not surprise me, since Brazil is (along with England), their worst enemy as far as soccer goes. So it becomes one of those things where... "you are my friend because you are the enemy of my enemy" -gg

Which by the way... Brazil came to this cup with no pretensions whatsoever, after nearly not qualifying... so that supports the theory of having a good attitude and it seems Brazil are less tense than other times. If they beat Turkey, then Brazil will join Germany in the final... and I am sorry to tell you but regardless of the German tenacity, they will fall prey to the "jogo bonito".

The entire experience will not be in vain for Germany as the Kaiser himself put it...

"Some teams take failure and use it as a reason to come back stronger.

No doubt, Germany will be a very strong contender... in the next cup, where they'll play in their home turf.

Not to mention the strength that they are about to gain in this final. -g
