DAMN S.O.B.s run the company down..then cut 17K... Just think of the "ROI", the "synergies" and other BS numbers. Think about those 10-20 shares you hold in your account. How much you stand to gain if this company merges with that company. Or just buys them out to eliminate competition. The stock culture sold folks on all those mega-mergers and deals and synergies and what not, telling the idiots that it was in their best interest. As long as the market went up no one cared. As long as it was not them that got shafted, the "wealth creation" kept the public in on the buy and hold side.
