...some are always trying to blur the distinction between his failed strategy for calling counter-trend rallies and his strategy for calling the trend.

That wouldn't be such a big deal if:

1. He hadn't used a special bulletin and used such an enormous chunk of the portfolio
2. He didn't continue to cover it up and, essentially, lie about it
3. He didn't promise to do more of the same for the next decade or so

It's not just a blurring, it's the lack of distinction from Bob himself who makes all this stuff up to begin with. If he can't keep it straight, how can anyone else?

Regarding the "we", it's annoying because it usually means:

1. the arrogant, royal "we"
2. palming off his misses on some fictitious culprit

There is no good definition of "we" in regards to Bob Brinker's Marketimer. This is what happens when you develop such a smarmy reputation that everything you do is instantly suspect.
