I arrived a year or two after your battle, during more peaceful times. Lived for a few months near the Mifflin Street Co-op. Then moved on to a place with more trees.

Madison is definitely a party town. When "Animal House" came out they put up a huge tent and held a toga party for 20,000 people. And the mile-long Halloween parties on State Street! I once saw a giant "Puff the Magic Dragon" emitting huge clouds of marijuana smoke, with crowds of people sidling up to get a sniff or two!

And now back to reality. Looks like the WCOM debacle won't be enough to knock Martha Stewart off the front page...
