ron, i am going to assume that is an "honest" question you just asked so i will address it.

the type gap determines when I worry about the retest and fill. for example if it is a breakaway gap i just add it to my gap list but realize that it may be a long time before it fills. csco was not a breakaway gap...mrk 12/3/97 was. lu march 2000 was not a breakaway gap.. it was pure manipulation so i shorted it the day it occurred.

but beyond that a gap is a gap. it is a "form" of manipulation by the specs and mm's as far as i am concerned. i found in fishing that if i spent all my time tying on lures i did not catch as many fish so i keep it simple. the fishing magazines (books) would make one believe that they need many many lures to catch a fish when actually all the shades shapes and colors they refer to are to sell fishing lures to fishermen rather than catch more fish.
