I'm not talking in terms of lives and indeed I'd agree that this pales in comparision to anything seen before. BUT...in terms of impact on the confidence in corporate America, this is the last straw for me. 9/11 shook to the core people's air of invunerability. The flatout fraud ADMITTED to should give rise to any think person the thought, "WHAT IF MY COMPANIES EARNINGS ARE SIMILARLY B.S."" Yeah, you're right, it's just WCOM, ENE, oh, yeah, Martha Steward, RiteAid, THe whole freegin Nasdaq. No big deal...
