KT, You hurt me when you hinted that I don't believe you. Nothing can be farther from the truth. As for time periods, show me a 40 year time period where indexing doesn't work, please? That's my investment horizon (25-65). And, show me a 40 year time period where active investing works (provide an example of such a money manager). As for fortunes made by indexing, more fortunes are lost by trading; where do you think brokers get their paychecks from (spreads and commissions)? You have strong beliefs, but no studies to back it up. And, you mean soccer, right? -BGR.
