Your argument seems to amount to "If I'm famous, I get a pass on drug laws."

What?!

It amounts to no such thing. Read the exchange again.

My point is that the rich and famous are hugely advantaged, and the fact that, as TP seemed to be saying, there is the occasional case that might have been pursued less aggressively had the bust been of someone less in the spotlight, doesn't change that.

Never did I say or imply that famous people should get preferential treatment.

Sheesh.
