Yes, American foreign policy has always been fairly seamless from one administration to the next.<<

Thomas -

I'm new to this thread, so pardon me if I'm repeating something that's been said before.

My question is this: If in fact both Bush administrations have been double-dealing by their involvement with unsavory elements in the Middle East, what difference does it make that the Clinton administration did the same? Does that make it OK for Bush to continue behaving this way?

I, for one, don't care whether somebody who is consorting with America's enemies is a Democrat, Republican or Independent. Whoever they are, I want them stopped.

If we focus the debate solely on political affiliation, and justify one administrations actions by pointing out the failings of another, we are never going to be able to actually solve any of these problems.

My enemy may be guilty of a crime, but that doesn't mean I get to commit one without being held responsible for it.
