If LU and / or NT go BK. Do you think holders of their VF paper will be willing to re-negotiate loan covenants with LEAP?

From the wording that I have read in the VF agreements. The Vendors must maintain "controlling interest" in their respective VF paper. In, other words, It is my opinion that the holders of the discounted VF paper have little ability to dictate terms of covenant realignment. I beleive that if NT or LU filed BK. They could terminate the remaining amounts in the VF agreements. But, I do not believe that it would have an impact on the existing VF amounts, or the vendors ability to realign covenants.

LNP=? Local number portability ?

Yes, LWIN considers this their "Holy Grail". Two WSP's (Nextel/LWIN) are in favor of maintaining the Nov. 2002 deadline which requires WSP's to implement pooling and porting. All of the rest of the industry want it delayed again for anoter 2 or 3 years. LNP would allow Cricket subscribers to port their landline phone number to their wireless phone. Business could keep their business phone number and change their LEC to a Wireless LEC like LWIN. The large wireless carriers are against LNP, as it would allow customers who tolerate poor service and coverage just to keep their phone number they have distributed to switch service providers.

But, LNP and pooling creates allot more demands on the Signaling Network. On a network like Crickets where Caller ID is an option, and roaming is non-existant. Crickets signaling network could see a couple of hundred times the siganling activity with pooling and porting.

If you look at who Leap is hiring. There are a couple of AIN and signaling openings.
