>>It's Clinton, stupid. Business executives do not lead, they follow. We gave Clinton a pass on even crimes he committed live on national television. We let him use the slimiest of lawyers, get cover from Democrat clones, and a smokescreen from the left wing media. The business world saw, and did what it does best, learned. We created the atmosphere of corporate fraud by accepting Clinton and not punishing him for his endless crime.<<

CYBERKEN -

So are you saying that until Clinton took office, business executives had never considered doing anything immoral or illegal? They got the idea from him?

I seem to remember something about a Savings and Loan scandal back when the first Bush was in office, following the deregulation of the banking industry that occurred during the Reagan administration. Where did those people get their ideas?

I'm sure I'm opening an big can of worms here, but I have to say this. I hear a lot of talk about how Clinton was never punished for his "endless crimes." Yet a very long and expensive investigation undertaken by an Independent Prosecutor failed to turn up any crimes except for lying under oath about an affair. Why is that? Did Ken Starr just fail to do his job? If so, he spent an awful lot of the taxpayers money in the effort.

PS: You said that "business executives don't lead they follow". Isn't a Chief Executiive Officer's whole job about leading?
