It is the unrepealable law of supply / demand that has created NAV premium in CEF in my opinion, Bob.

Since it is the only bullion based mutual fund choice, too many chasing two few ALWAYS produces a premium.

What if it moves to 150% premium to NAV...will you then tell people inquiring about options for their gold portfolio allocation that they should not have paid 112% and stayed out?

All closed end funds cycle between discount and premium. No one wanted it when it was discount, and many want it now that it is expensive.

All "numismatic" items trade at a premium to their face value as well as their metallic value. CEF is as rare in the options for bullion buyers of closed end funds as the 1935 St G pattern.

Too few of anything always begats premiums.

However, I'm running a special on last years Girl Scout Cookies...thin mints...How many boxes may I put you down for? They've been kept refrigerated until demand increased....

your turn<grin>
